Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Introduction
Hyperthings ("we", "us", or "our") operates Fleet Vision, a fleet tracking and management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our web application, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, organization details, role, and authentication credentials.
- Fleet and operational data — vehicle identifiers, GPS location, speed, ignition status, trip history, geofence events, driver assignments, dispatch records, and device telemetry.
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, search queries, session timestamps, browser type, IP address, and device identifiers stored locally for session continuity.
- Communications — support requests, audit logs, and notifications you send or receive through the Service.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide live tracking, alerts, reporting, dispatch, and other core fleet management features.
- Authenticate users, enforce role-based access, and maintain audit trails.
- Improve reliability, security, and performance of the Service.
- Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of use.
Location and Telematics Data
Fleet Vision processes precise location and vehicle telemetry data to deliver real-time tracking, geofencing, route history, and safety alerts. This data is collected from installed hardware, telematics devices, or integrated third-party systems connected to your organization's account.
Location data is retained according to your organization's configuration and applicable law. You are responsible for ensuring drivers and other data subjects are informed where required by local regulations.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information:
- With your organization's authorized administrators and users based on assigned roles.
- With service providers that help us host infrastructure, deliver maps, process notifications, or operate analytics — under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Hyperthings, our customers, or others.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.
Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third-party providers such as mapping platforms, notification services, and cloud infrastructure. Those providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policies of any integrated services your organization enables.
Data Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and comply with legal requirements. Retention periods may vary by data type and customer configuration.
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing activities.
Organization administrators can manage user accounts, permissions, and much of the fleet data stored in the Service. Individual users may contact their administrator or Hyperthings support to exercise applicable rights.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage and similar technologies to maintain authentication state, theme preferences, and session identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may limit functionality of the Service.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business and fleet operations and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where it was collected. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were last made. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by other appropriate means.
